Authorised Access

Zooma has authorised access to certain names and addresses held on the Motor Vehicle Register under section 241 of the Land Transport Act 1998 and NZ Gazzette notice 2022-au4072. We may obtain your name and address from the motor vehicle register if one of the following conditions is met:

1. Application

When assessing an application to provide vehicle finance, to confirm the person registered to that vehicle is the same person to whom finance is being proposed to be provided.

2. Security Interest

Where Zooma has an existing security interest on the Personal Properties Securities Register (PPSR), to confirm the registered person of that vehicle is the person we have provided finance to concerning that vehicle.

You can notify the Registrar if you do not wish to have your name(s) and address(es) made available under an authorisation.” Under the Authorized Access section.
